Founded in 2007, PHX Rail Food is an independent, non-commercial blog devoted to good eating along the light rail line that connects Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa. The site features more than 100 in-depth reviews of restaurants directly along the line or within half a mile of a station.
The name of the site is pronounced P-H-X (one letter at a time) Rail Food and is based on the code for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Since the airport serves the entire Phoenix Metropolitan Area, its identifier can designate the three cities currently joined by light rail.
PHX Rail Food is not affiliated with Valley Metro. Restaurant selection and evaluation are based solely on the author’s personal preferences. Free food and beverages are not accepted in association with reviews, and the site does not include advertisements or sponsored posts.
