PHX Rail Food is an independent, non-commercial blog devoted to good eating along the light rail and streetcar lines that connect Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa. Continuously published and updated since 2007, the site features over 250 reviews of restaurants located near light rail stations and streetcar stops. No goods, services, or payments are accepted in association with reviews, and the site does not include advertisements or sponsored posts.
New reviews are published roughly once a week, occasionally less often if life gets in the way. Coverage is limited to the light rail and streetcar lines in Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa. Drive-thrus, ghost kitchens, and restaurants that operate on an exclusively takeout or delivery basis are not included, regardless of location. To maintain a focus on independent restaurants, chains of twenty or more locations with substantially the same menu are not covered.
